Love Island
installation, plastic, sand, fabric, synthetic fibers, seashells, metal, digital print, tape, wood, paper, 2022

In my creative practice, I try to integrate experiences from the practice of an educator, as well as up-to-date observations on functioning schemes and processes in the world around me. Thanks to these observations, I created a love installation, or Love Island. The island presents a space devoid of all prejudices and schemes. The environment has a hot atmosphere, filled with aromatic drinks and rays of love. Love Island is filled with colorful handbags, free-running unicorns and above all - smiling and fulfilled bionicls. This island is inhabited by free-spirited citizens who do not give in to stereotypes and restrictive patterns present in our reality. The most important values guiding this unique coastal space are tolerance and acceptance. All its residents, regardless of origin or appearance, are treated with respect and equality. Love Islandbecomes a symbol of open-mindedness and lack of prejudice, where everyone can express themselves without fear of judgment or exclusion. The island takes us into a world where diversity is celebrated and all stereotypes and schemes become powerless in the face of the power of love and mutual understanding.
