Kacper Tomaszewski (b. 1999) is a visual artist working with installations, objects, painting, and photography. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In his practice, he explores interspecies relationships and the intimate bonds between humans and other beings. He is particularly interested in forms of care, nurturing, sorrow, and mourning that emerge within these relationships—both on an emotional and material level.

His works delve into what is fragile, abandoned, and invisible—moments of tenderness and loss, marginalized forms of existence, and emotions and presences that escape language and attention.

Since 2024, he has been affiliated with the Institute of Good Death, where he co-creates projects at the intersection of art, education, and mourning culture.

He is the author of solo exhibitions such as: Dream, little dog, dream… II (Galeria El, Elbląg, 2025), Dream, little dog, dream… (Galeria Promocyjna, Warsaw, 2024), Trace (Galeria Marszałkowska 18, Warsaw, 2023), Lodge (Galleri Blunk, Norway, 2022), and Boots (Galeria Brzozowa, Warsaw, 2019).

Game
installation, 2023

Object is a game that attracts everyone with its colors and contrasts. It's not just an ordinary battle with classic soccer players in sports uniforms - here you will also meet extraordinary characters, such as unicorns or pony horses. This diversity makes each game unique and full of joy. The game can make us nostalgic for our youthful years, when we used to play hide-and-seek and tag. Now we can return to those carefree days,we just need to grab the sticks and start an unforgettable game. This work is not only a creative commentary based on personal childhood memories, but also related to observations about working with young people. In this work I try to combine different aspects, bringing joy and pleasure to all who look into it.
